Barbara (Bowers) Bucklaew

75, of Bradford, NY, passed away on April 14, 2026, after a brief illness.

She was born in Buffalo, NY to Paul E. and Mildred (Greene) Bowers on December 14, 1950, the third of seven siblings. She graduated from Williamsville East High School in 1968. In 1972, she married Richard F. Bucklaew and had two daughters. After many years as a stay at home mom, she went back to school. She graduated from Corning Community College in 1990 with an AAS in Chemical Technology. She worked at Corning, Inc. for a couple years. She later became a Waste Water Treatment Operator and worked for the City of Ithaca, and then Steuben County.

She is predeceased by her parents and husband. She is survived by her siblings, Paul(Mary) Bowers, Doug (Marg) Bowers, Richard Bowers, Thomas Bowers, Laura (Henry) Brozyna, and James Bowers; her daughters, Sara Bucklaew, and Jaclyn Bruner; grandchildren Andrew (Paige) Bruner, and Jacob Bruner; and great-grandson Damien Bruner; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen on Saturday, May 30th from 11am-1pm; followed by a memorial service at 1pm. A reception will be announced.
